How's your 'Karma'?
I don't believe in 'karma' as it's traditionally understood. But I included this quiz just to show how wrong many people's stereotypes are when they divide people into 'logical' (see below) or 'sensitive'. Many people are both.
How logical?
I have always been considered logical. I do like puzzles, and enjoyed this quiz, which had some interesting questions. It's one of the things that made me (mistakenly) consider my Myers-Briggs type must include the letter 'T' - which is not the case.

Right-brained or left-brained?
For a few of these questions I wanted to answer 'both' (or 'neither') but on the whole they were reasonable. I think the result is probably pretty accurate too.
You Are 60% Left Brained, 40% Right Brained |
![]() The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning. Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others. If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic. Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet. The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility. Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way. If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art. Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports. |

Learning styles
This was fun. I found the link on Gill's blog. Seventy questions that (in theory) indicate preferred learning style. Results out of a maximum of 20. Here's what my results said:
Sounds about right. I'm primarily a solitary learner, it's true. Verbal learning comes high on the list, visual very low. That's visual as in images and pictures: reading, by contrast, is my main way of learning but I assume that's included under verbal.

Multiple intelligences
Ah, one more then. Here's a much better quiz about multiple intelligences, which also tells me my strength is in linguistic/verbal skills. Interesting. When I've done this kind of thing before, I've come out highest in intra-personal, which ranks second according to this questionnaire. I also usually score rather higher at maths - which is the subject I did for my degree, albeit many years ago.
Anyway, for what it's worth:

Anyway, for what it's worth:

You scored as Verbal/Linguistic. You have highly developed auditory skills, enjoy reading and writing and telling stories, and are good at getting your point across. You learn best by saying and hearing words. People like you include poets, authors, speakers, attorneys, politicians, lecturers and teachers.

Types of Intelligence
Seven types of intelligence are fairly widely understood these days. Whereas IQ tests really only look at logical reasoning, numerical pattern understanding, English usage (a bit) and spatial reasoning, this simple questionnaire looks at our abilities in various seven intelligence areas to determine the most significant one. It doesn't give a chart with them all - indeed I'm not sure if it does question for all of them - but I guess it's about right that my primary area is linguistic.
Your Dominant Intelligence is Linguistic Intelligence |
![]() You are excellent with words and language. You explain yourself well. An elegant speaker, you can converse well with anyone on the fly. You are also good at remembering information and convicing someone of your point of view. A master of creative phrasing and unique words, you enjoy expanding your vocabulary. You would make a fantastic poet, journalist, writer, teacher, lawyer, politician, or translator. |

Nothing to do with IQ really...
I've seen this on other blogs too. Strange test. Some easy questions, some not-so-easy. At least one American general knowledge. IQ tests at best tell you how well you do in IQ tests, they're only a general measure of a few sorts of intelligence. But anyway, this was very quick and I thought the results quite cool.
